The project is basically the first encounter of our practice with a relatively urban area. The site is located in a suburban development project near lake Lisi, on a roundabout.
The program of the house is divided into 3 blocks of the core functions - living, sleeping and master areas, while supporting functions are arranged in spaces connecting the blocks. The house is rather closed to the road side, greeting visitors almost like a medieval castle and open towards a more private orientation, facing the center of the city.
The use of poured concrete walls which are left bare in the interior too, is an echo of the project's urban context, while the use of timber pitched roofs gives the building a more rural feeling and this union shapes the pastoral, monastery-like character of the house.
