The Chicken house is a project realized at Vazisubani Estate in Kakheti, Georgia, housing around 60 chickens, producing fresh eggs daily for the hotel and restaurant.

The project turned out to be very special for us as it was built completely by kera team. Turning our vision and drawings into a building by ourselves was indeed an amazing experience and an important lesson for our practice.

The structure is a square space with plywood envelope, held in place with a series of timber columns and diagonal bracings, which also hold the egg boxes. The eggs can be accessed directly from the outside and the cleaning process is simplified with the help of the bottom doors all around the coop.
